This year Leach & Lang Property Consultants is celebrating its 20th anniversary
During these past two decades Poland has seen the accelerated development of world class shopping centres, a significant A-class office market, an enviable logistics network, a robust residential buy-to-let footing and latterly a nascent PRS market. Admittedly finding ourselves in the right place at the right time, Leach & Lang’s own trajectory over the past 20 years has been equally exciting, dynamic and memorable touching on all these different sectors but never drifting too far from our residential roots.
Here’s how our founder, Tom Leach briefly summarized 20 years of Leach & Lang:
„…For me, the most interesting thing about Leach & Lang is how we continually develop. I set up back in 2004 to help foreign investors buy apartments in Krakow.
This evolved to help investors fit out, rent, manage and re-sell these properties and then, a little against the wind during the GFC, we expanded to replicate these services in 10 cities across Poland.
Our team grew further as we started helping larger investors buy plots and buildings to develop entire projects and subsequently run sales offices to market them.
This, in turn, nudged us firstly into the building administration business line, via Active Management, and latterly into running serviced apartments under the Landmark Apartments brand. Whilst we have also expanded our commercial side of the business with tangible office leasing success and numerous acquisitions and disposals, we remain best-known for our residential focus. Most recently, it is this residential background that has helped project us to the fore of the burgeoning PRS market where, together with Conall McGuire under the dedicated Leach & McGuire brand, we have been thrilled to advise institutional investors on a series of historic acquisitions across Poland comprising of thousands of units. As history is wont to repeat itself, this has since evolved into leasing and managing these very same residential and student housing portfolios…
