Garden Residence is one the most interesting and inimitable architectural projects underway in Zabłocie. In a few years time, this post-industrial neighbourhood included in Krakóws regeneration programme is, according to experts, bound to become the most modern and trendiest corners of the historic Kraków.
The area has been attracting interest of developers and architects alike for some time. They saw a huge potential in this splendid location on the banks of the River Vistula across from the picturesque historic district of Kazimierz. The area, however, lay abandoned until the City Council adopted in 2006 the Zabłocie Post-Industrial Site Regeneration Programme. From then on, as architects and urban planners paying increasingly frequent visits, Zabłocie started to transform itself into a modern and vibrant neighbourhood. In the same year 2010 when the Garden Residence will be completed, the neighbourhood will also see the opening of the Remembrance Museum devoted to the Kraków Jews. Just one year later, two other prestigious institutions will open: the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Cricoteka Centre for the Documentation of the Art of Tadeusz Kantor, both making use of the famous Schindler factory. The neighbourhood is already a seat of Krakóws largest private college, the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University College.
The regeneration programme includes also riverside leisure grounds located next the Garden Residence. They will feature footpaths and cycling paths connected to the city-wide cycling network. A footbridge is under construction across the Vistula to the district of Kazimierz.
According to the Civil Code, this offer is not an offer for trade.
